The Avetts are really good and they let me tape !!! Saw them for the 19th & 20th times in the last year at Red Rocks. Seeing them again in Richmond on 7/25 and then its off to Europe for shows in August. I am actually friends with Dolph Ramseur who owns their record label and with Pete Schroth (lighting design) and Justin Glanville (sound engineer). Pete lives in Greensboro and we see him at Greensboro Grasshoppers games when he's not on the road. These guys have hit me like no other band except The Grateful Dead. Something about their music really hits home - maybe cause its from home ?!? This is us with a flag and our mics at the Saturday night show ...

Nice! Representing NC very well (unlike those fools in Raleigh). My daughter is now in Emerald Isle for the rest of the month.
